To improve food scrap diversion from landfills in Orange County, which make up 18% of solid waste, and enrich local soils with compost. Collected scraps are reused by local farmers to create soil and grow more food.
How does it work?
Bring food scraps to the drop-off site in a reusable container that is easy to empty.
What to bring
fruit scraps, veggie scraps, coffee grinds, nut, shells, egg shells
What NOT to bring
meat, dairy, pet waste, plastic bags, twist ties, rubber bands, stickers
