Welcome to the Village of Goshen
Incorporated on March 28, 1809, the Village of Goshen is located in the heart of Orange County, New York, within the scenic Hudson Valley, approximately 60 miles northwest of New York City. The Village serves as the county seat and is home to Orange County Government offices, local courts, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and other essential services.
The Village of Goshen is recognized for its historic character, distinctive architecture, agricultural heritage, public parks, and a vibrant downtown that features unique shops, restaurants, and local businesses. Click here for information.
The Village partners with the Goshen Chamber of Commerce and other not-for-profit organizations to host a variety of community events throughout the year. These include the Goshen Farmers’ Market, the Great American Weekend, the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Illuminate Goshen, and numerous cultural, art, and music festivals. In addition, the Village works closely with local VFW and American Legion chapters to organize and participate in civic ceremonies that honor our veterans and community, including the Memorial Day Services and Parade and the Veterans Day Ceremony.
